It’s our “new year” –– DON’T MISS IT!
We’ve asked our friends at Mac Media to tell us
What’s NEW and What’s BEST in the
marketplace, including the new iPhones.

If you own “Office for Mac 2011” you should read this.........

Office for Mac 2011 users not to upgrade to Apple's macOS High Sierra when the new operating system launches in September. Go to link below.

Still not sure what it all means but it may be High Sierra will be operating at 64 bit and 2011 is built in 32 bit.
Be sure to back up all Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac files you have made if you do decide to install High Sierra or your files may not open correctly or at all.

If someone can explain a little better what this means and could send me a note, I will put it up on the homepage.

My personal decision (and recommendation) is to wait until macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 or 10.13.2 or later comes out. Changing the file system is no small task, and updating system software can lead to all sorts of annoying problems if it is buggy or goes wrong.

I always wait for the first major software updates now, I do not risk the early first releases on my necessary hardware.

If you’re having difficulty with existing beta versions, you can try out the GM but my experience suggests it’s the 1,  2 and 3 releases where things get fixed and are more stable.
